Update 16 Dec 2015

Standard

Hey everyone!

In case you had no idea what’s been going on, I’ve been on a 2-month hiatus. And if you’re wondering what I’ve been up to in that time, I was busy fighting goblins, mastering a new fire spell, rescuing puppies, and studying my brains out everyday so that I may one day surpass Sensei in all her teachings! (Okay, I lied)

But I am back, and I plan to continue right where I left off by diving into one of my biggest accomplishments this year, and that is writing my 100th full anime review! And you can find all of the previous anime reviews on the menu bar.

So what was the hold-up this whole time? Somewhere on the spectrum of being extremely busy and incredibly lazy, I just didn’t find time to do it. I normally keep notes about anime shows that I’ve watched recently along with screenshots, but I watched the series I had in mind long before I started taking reviews seriously. So if there’s any hold-up, it’s because I needed time to rewatch the series. Sorry!

But rest assured, I just finished running through the entire series (again) and am currently in the process of thinking about what to say about it. I will have the complete review done before the week is over… unless something terrible happens to me again.

But before I get to that 100th review, I would like to recap some of the reviews I had done leading up to this capstone of a review.

In August, I reviewed Nanana’s Buried Treasure, Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet, Ace of the Diamond, and Outbreak Company under the theme of Community.

In September, I reviewed Urawa no Usagi-chan, Joker, Momo Kyun Sword, and Re-Kan under the theme of Friends and Family.

And in October, I reviewed Denkigai no Honya-san, Peace Eco Smile, Wish Upon the Pleiades, and My Love Story under the theme of Romance.

While the shows themselves are completely unrelated to each other, I chose these central themes as a means to lead up to my 100th review in an attempt to tie all three of them together, much like how I set up my review series back in March, April, and May of this year. Yes. There was a method to my madness!

If you really want to know what show I’ll be talking about, I’ll tell you when I write the review. The truth is that most people aren’t even aware of this series, let alone know that I watched it. But if you’re one of those folks who REALLY want to guess, I will say three hints:

  1. As I stated above, the series encompasses the three themes: Community, Friends and Family, and Romance.
  2. In honor of being my 100th review, the series also incorporates the number 100.
  3. Coincidentally, the series also reflects a tradition that happens during an upcoming holiday. Honestly didn’t plan that when I had planned this back in August, but that’s just how it turned out.

But enough of the mumbo jumbo from me! I am back, and I will be continuing to write more stuff on the blog soon!
