Rose Cliches (Day 19)

Standard

Someone once said:

“It is easy to love a rose, but a great deal more to love a leaf…”

Why can’t I love both?

I can, can I not?

Dali once said:

“The first man to compare the cheeks of a young woman to a rose

Was obviously a poet;

The first to repeat it was probably an idiot.”

Well, idiots can be loved too, right?

I say:

“Roses are red, violets are blue…”

But these are clichés,

And don’t accurately define you.

Roses in my garden.

Roses in my garden.
